We’re Not Just a Sunday Place.

Welcome to The First Congregational Church of Camden: a vibrant family of Christians, growing in faith, centered in Christ and committed to community.

We come together for worship, to grow in our understanding of the power and responsibility of Christianity, to share in God’s love and to reach out to others as Christ has taught us.

You will find us active here all week long, be it learning through study; support through prayer; service through free soup lunches, prayer shawl knitting and free clothing for the needy; or support of local non- profits and of our Boy Scouts.

We urge you to explore our website in order to gain greater insight into who we are and what we value most in our role and responsibilities as Christians.

We are an Open and Affirming Congregation of the UCC, and we hope that you will visit us soon whether you live right here in the mid-coast or happen to be visiting "from away.”

No matter who you are or where you are in life’s journey, you are welcome here, every day of the week! There is so much that we can do together!

Spend as much time as you want on our website and then, even better, come be with us and see for yourself.

Our Church's Open and Affirming statement is available here.

Easter Week Services at the First Congregational Church

The First Congregational Church of Camden will begin Easter week services with its sober, yet hauntingly beautiful, Maundy Thursday Tenebrae supper and service at 6:30 p.m. on April 17th. Maundy Thursday commemorates The Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles. Please contact the church if you would like to be part of the service.

The community is also invited to greet Easter morning at a 5:30 a.m. sunrise service to be held at the Camden Yacht Club on April 20. The service will be led by the Rev. Kevin Pleas.

The traditional Easter morning service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on April 20th with Rev. Kevin Pleas officiating. A children’s Easter egg hunt will follow the service.

The church is handicapped accessible. For more information on Easter Week services please call 236-4821.

Nursery and childcare are available.

Children are dismissed for Church school during the service.
