Audio Visual Technicians Wanted

The First Congregational Church of Camden, Maine, is looking for two experienced Audio Visual (AV) technicians to support broadcasts of their weekly Sunday services and other events as needed. Sunday services have been hybrid Zoom meetings with anywhere from 20 to 70 people attending in the church sanctuary and 20 to 100 attending via Zoom. Setup for the service begins at 8:30 AM, an hour before the 9:30 AM Service followed by fellowship time (until 11:15 AM on average). The sanctuary currently has 1 PTZ video camera, 9 microphones, 4 speakers, and a large video monitor. All of these devices are connected using a BlackMagic switcher and a Yamaha MG20 mixing board and two MacBook Pro computers. Services often include pre-recorded videos and occasionally, sermons or other remote attendee participation delivered by way of Zoom. The church is looking to expand its broadcast capabilities. We are seeking knowledgeable, detail-oriented individuals who are cool under pressure, work well as part of a team, and can adapt quickly to new situations. Strong candidates will be people oriented and comfortable working with non-technical staff to ensure event broadcasts are successful. The First Congregational Church of Camden is part of the United Church of Christ and welcomes persons of every race, ethnic background, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, socio-economic status, marital status and faith background.

  • Set up audiovisual equipment including computers, microphones, wireless mics and receivers, video monitors and cabling.
  • Monitor and respond to Zoom issues, muting participants if needed
  • Follow all church policies (COVID-19 protocols, etc…)
