On January 6th, 2021, people of our nation watched with horror as the US Capitol was overtaken during an attempted insurrection spurred on by the President of this country. We saw images of guns drawn in self-defense in the House chamber and of police officers overtaken by an angry mob. Several people have died and many more were injured.
