Future Without Walls

Exploring the witness of inclusivity in divided times

Led by Rev. Dick Snyder

Future without Walls, a recent book written by Rev. Dick Snyder who will preach at our church on Sunday, April 11. His book expresses his lifelong commitment to social justice, voicing a lamentation for the tragedy of our divisions and the way we exclude others, as well as offering a clarion call for justice. The book analyzes the entangled connections between the roots, forms, and consequences of those divisions, sets forth the moral imperative to embrace rather than exclude, and offers concrete actions to help dismantle the walls and create a hopeful future.

Dick Snyder, a theologian and prior Camden resident who is well known to many in the community, will lead a book discussion over the course of three weekly sessions open to all via Zoom sessions (registration with the church office is required to receive a Zoom link). Dick will be preaching at our church on April 11 on the topic of "othering," a term he uses in his book to describe "the tragedy of our divisions," with the book discussions to follow on dates to be decided. Class sessions are on April 29, May 6, May 13.
