MINISTRIES & MISSIONS
God calls us to Love in Action. It is our way of answering an unanswered need, whether in our congregation, community, nation, or world. It is how we live our faith. This church has missions and ministries to fit almost every interest, passion, and time restraint. Helping hands are always welcome! We hope you are called to a mission currently in place but if not, let us know your passions, and we’ll see how we can better serve together. The list below reflects our current ministries!

The Outreach Committee
We strongly believe that as a congregation, if we are to be faithful to our calling to follow Christ, we must be actively involved in service and ministry to our wider world. A portion of our annual budget is committed to collaborating with local ecumenical partners and social agencies who are working to meet the needs and concerns of the most vulnerable.
Justice & Witness
As followers of Jesus, we seek justice for those who suffer any form of oppression. In a variety of ways—ongoing action/study groups, legislative initiatives, and periodic gatherings—we explore state and community concerns as well as issues of national importance. Issues and concerns have focused on include racial justice, climate change, poverty, gun violence, indigenous issues, sexual discrimination, and immigration.
Care Team
The Mission of the Care Team is to provide spiritual-based care and kindness to the members of our church community who may be limited in their ability to attend church regularly due to aging or health concerns, as well as those members who may be suffering with a life crisis.
The Dove Tree
For decades, The Dove Tree ministry has helped brighten the holidays for families in our community. Working with local schools, dedicated volunteers learn of families needing a boost of generosity.

Since 2006, this beloved ministry has gathered each week to knit and crochet prayer shawls, with prayers and blessings woven into the work. To date, over 880 shawls have been blessed and gifted to people near and far.
Higher Ground Coffee Teams
Higher Ground is the ministry where friendships are brewing! After worship each week, rotating teams of volunteers provide coffee, tea, food, and hospitality for all to enjoy.
Cake & Community
Cake and Community is a weekly lunchtime gathering offering conversation, companionship, desserts, and hot beverages during the winter months. This volunteer-driven ministry meets Fridays from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Pilgrim Room.
Prayer Circle
A dedicated group of members and friends provides a confidential ministry of prayer. We pray for people facing surgery, illness, grief, mental illness, addictions, depression, situations around the world, and pets too. No request is too large or too small.
